Volkswagen cars are safe cars. VW were one of the first in Europe to offer 2xAirbags in Golf 3.
I would say the VW Golf VR6 is a powerful understatement. Pure autoadrenaline,
quietly dressed. Fun yet comforting.
A car that's both effective and refined on the
Autobahn. Perfect when traveling from Berlin to Frankfurt.
Everything from its styling, power, handling and safety, has been finely tuned to the highest
levels of refinement. The Golf VR6 is powered by a special 2.8-litre DOHC multipoint fuel
injected 6 cylinder petrol engine. This exceptional power unit is fine tuned to deliver maximum
performance and driving enjoyment. Exceptionally responsive this multi-point injection 2.8-
litre engine takes you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds. With instant and full torque
across the entire rev range. Maximum speed: 225 km/h.
Both the 3-door, the stationwagon and the 5-door VR6 versions offer an exicting driving
experience. Distinctive features include: 15" alloy wheels from BBS. Sports tuned suspension.
Leather steering wheel and shift knob. Recaro sportseats. Standard features include: Front fog
lamps. Front power windows. ABS. On-board computer (MFA). Driver and passenger airbag
+ side airbags on both sides. The VR6 is dynamically styled and engineered for sportier
driving. Even when standing still, the tight, muscular, aerodynamic body cuts the air.
When in motion, its sports tuned suspension lends road-grabbing stability.
When the Golf VR6 was developed, it was tested for handling on one of the world's most
extreme race tracks: the170 bends of the 22 km Nürburgring in Eifel, Germany.
The high speed stability was tested on one of the world's fastest roads:
the German Autobahn.
Grip and handling was tested on some of the world's hilliest roads:
Alsace, France. European roads and driving styles are unique in the world.
So, what makes driving exciting?
