It is believed that Olof had moved to Stenshamn to work. In 1863 Olof left Stenshamn and moved back to Sturkö. At about the same time Cecilia disappeared from the church register of Torhamn parish, to which Utlängan and Stenshamn belong. She probably married Olof and moved with him but this has not been confirmed.

In 1874, Olof and Cecilia moved back to Stenshamn. At this period of time Olof was registered as a fisherman. He apparently had established himself as a fisherman when the family lived on Sturkö.
