The samples on this site are in WAV format (because they were mostly done before mp3 was standard), and I have divided the loops into three categories: drum loops, other loops and samples from hip hop songs.

This site may contain copyrighted material whose use has not been specifically authorised by the copyright owners, so if you own the copyright to a track and object to its inclusion on this site please inform me and I will remove it.

I will not supply the whole tunes in mp3 or wav format, so please don't email me asking for this - I'm only trying to increase awareness of these important artists and songs, not advocate piracy. Many of these sounds are available on vinyl/CD compilations so if you really want a track please support the labels by spending some money - you'll be doing yourself and maybe even the artist in question a favour.
