Wings over Varberg

Pictures taken on July 15. 2001 at the air and car-show, WHEELS & WINGS in Varberg.

This is a yearly 2-day show with a lot of customized and old cars, a parts and accessories market and a fly-in combined with an air show. Many homebuilders visit the show, and you can see old engines, even steam engines at work. Modelaircraft are also on display. So, if you like engines, automobiles and aircraft, this is a place to go. This year the only remaining flying SAAB B17 was on place and made a nice show. A russianconstructed An-2 showed its STOL-capabilities and an other biplane, the old swedish Tummelisa (first flight 1919) with rotating engine gave an impressive show in the hands of Mikael Carlsson.
