It all began a usual day at Hedbergska 1997 when Jocke Kjellgren played a guitarintro for Malin Sjökvist because it was her birthday. It was an intro which Jocke had written all by himself. And Erica H Argården who was listening started to sing something to that intro. That was the beginning.Eventually that guitarintro became a song, "Fly". And Jocke & Erica decided to form a duo. They started to write more songs with some lyrically help from their friend Mats Hansson. When Erica & Jocke played on of their following songs "He doesn´t know" for Malin, she said that the music sounded like Pop/Jazz, and the name Pjazz was born. The duo got some gigs in the local area, and this summer they have been
very busy. They recorded a 5 track demo in Ljungaverk and played at the Fränsta Styran in Fränsta.
Then this fall the duo became a trio with Malin Sjökvist on keyboards rounding out the group and wrote some songs for the band. This winter Andreas Baw and Arne Johansson joined Pjazz. That´s the point where Pjazz is right now - The next step is to write some more songs, develope and hopefully get some attention.

During 1999 Pjazz has recorded the 2 track demo "Falling" and Fredrik Hast joined the band. The music style is now Rock/Funk/Soul and the band is planning to record a new demo.
