My real name is Örjan Westin, and I currently live in Royston in Hertfordshire, England. I grew up and spent the most part of my life in and around Östersund in Jämtland, Sweden, but moved to England in August 1999 to work for The Automation Partnership.

After buying a Commodore 64 in 1985, I became hooked on computers. Some years later, I studied Computer Science at the Mid Sweden University in Östersund, and I have been working in the IT business since 1992, mostly in support and development. The initial fascination of computer games is now long gone, and I don't find it as entertaining as I once did. I can still find some satisfaction in writing a good program, though, so I'll probably stick with this business for some years to come. If you are interested in my CV, you can find it here in RTF format for downloading or in HTML format for screen viewing, but I must say I am not particurlarly interested in changing jobs at any time in the foreseeable future.

In my meagre spare time I read and write, take and develop photographs, play the Pendragon roleplaying game with friends, and, naturally, try to spend time with friends and family. I'm interested in most things, like current affairs, history, philosophy, mythology, technology, and natural science.

On Usenet, I frequent the groups alt.fan.pratchett and alt.books.pratchett. If you go to Deja News and do a search on those groups, you'll find some posts of mine.

Something you might find in Usenet articles is codes - codes that, for the initiated, gives a picture of who the poster is and what intrestests and opinions he might have on certain subjects. For what it might be worth, this is me in two varieties:
