SONIC YOUTH

THE COOLEST GUITARISTS

As I play a little guitar, or at least try to, I have a lot of guitaridols...and here they are, in no order:

Thurston Moore (SONIC YOUTH)

Nick McCabe (the Verve)

Kevin Shields (my bloody valentine)

Stephen Malkmus (Pavement)

Dean Wareham (Galaxie 500, now Luna)

Tobin Sprout (Guided by voices)

John Darnielle (Mountaingoats)

John Squire

Spider Stevens (the towndwellers)
Powerama-riff-king, a lone wolf McGuitar. On their last show, Spider killed two people in the audience with his white trash noise. He often uses his cherry, custom-made Epiphone SG. It was originally played by Indiana Jones, but he gave it to Spider for a fistful of hockeypulver.

Elliott Smith

Lee Renaldo (Sonic youth)
