Lyrics

Faintly Blowing

Many's the time I've sat here alone with you Two flowers in a field could not be sweeter Nor breezes up high in the blue Higher than you, faintly blowing Higher than you, faintly blowing Higher than you, faintly blowing Time and again we have not said a word, just looked Two tumbling stones on a beach in the surf Living on rainbows, we are hooked Rainbows faintly blowing Rainbows faintly blowing Rainbows faintly blowing See the children touch their tiny hands Unto the sun Unto the sun Unto the sun Now and then, we just lay here together and smile Two pieces of grass in an acre of corn Happy and free for a while Freely faintly blowing Freely faintly blowing Freely faintly blowing Blowing, faintly blowing Blowing, faintly blowing Unto the sun Unto the sun Unto the sun Ad lib

Poem

I bring your lantern I bring you fire I bring you rose wine I bring your lyre I bring frankincense I bring you oak I bring you night birds I bring your cloak I bring you midnight I bring the sea I bring forever I bring you me

Snapdragon

Almond eyes and the chopsticks ticking like grasshoppers Jasmine child, in your paper house I am trembling Strange disguise, your white face is shining like an eastern moon Geisha smile, in lemon trees the wind is whistling Oh, gentle Snapdragon, may I stay? May I pray, shall I dance like a fire? I can bring frogs, starfish sake Oh, Snapdragon, anything that you desire Burning bright, your butterfly eyes sparkle like the sea Lantern light, I pray that your eyes will wash over me Oh, gentle Snapdragon, may I stay? May I pray, shall I dance like a fire? I can bring frogs, starfish sake Oh, Snapdragon, anything that you desire Many moons shine for you know that I am your servant Snapdragon, I'm hypnotised by your spiral hands Silver gong rings midnight and I see the falling sands Oh, gentle Snapdragon, may I stay? May I pray, shall I dance like a fire? I can bring frogs, starfish sake Oh, Snapdragon, anything that you desire Many moons shine for you know that I am your servant Snapdragon, I'm hypnotised by your spiral hands Silver gong rings midnight and I see the falling sands Oh, oh, gentle Snapdragon, may I stay? May I pray, shall I dance like a fire? I can bring frogs, starfish sake Oh, Snapdragon, anything that you desire

A Story From Tom Bitz

I met a person recently on a train, it was going south I very shyly tried to speak to her but the words, they stuck in my mouth “Come here,” she said to me, in a voice I could hardly see “Pray, tell me what is it with you? Why are you looking there at me?” I spoke to her without thinking, I said, “I love you, I do believe!” She slapped my face with both her hands and asked me if I would leave I screamed, “Oh no, I didn't mean that, but then again, yes, I think I did!” She said, “Ok, Tom, come over here,” and she opened up the lid Of the suitcase that she was carrying underneath her arm From which she took two little bottles, I knew I'd come to harm She made me drink the liquid and my head began to reel I soon found myself upon the floor, I could not see or could not feel When I came to, the train I was in, it had made its final stop And as I opened up my eyes, there before me was a cop He said that I was drunk and without money, pride and ticket too Then they ran me down the County Jail, oh, what else could they do? I tried to explain about the lady who was with me on the train But they all stood round and looked at me like I was insane I begged for mercy and forgiveness and for a cigarette too But they gave me six months hard labour, oh, what else could they do? While in jail, I met an old cowboy, who said he liked me fine He made me steal a horse for him and I got extra time Well, the moral of this story, I expect you all can see If you must fall in love, then take your time, don't do it If you must fall in love, then take your time, don't do it If you must fall in love, then take your time, don't do it Too easily

(Love Song) For Annie

Come, all ye non-believers, feel the creases in her brow Look once and then you'll know she was not very loud Touch her eyes and feel the shadows growing on her face Take seconds to catch your breath before you slow the pace Come, all ye non-belivers, but leave your books behind Your knowledge is wasted here, for love there's always time Reach out for emptiness as she crowds you from the room Let falling tears paint your face but don't do it too soon Take time for Annie She would love to see your face Be kind for Annie Spread out a little place Come, all ye non-believers, break the bread and drink the wine Give her your baited breath, for love there's always time Fall down around her feet, let her walk upon your hands Let your tears be like a sea, do everything you can Take time for Annie She would love to see your face Be kind for Annie Spread out a little place Listen But forever is a time you'll never know Come, all ye non-believers, break the bread and drink the wine Give her your baited breath, for love there's always time Fall down around her feet, let her walk upon your hands Let your tears be like a sea, do everything you can

If you so wish

When the clothes that you wear lose their magic And the faces you once saw do not remain When the colour of your face is turning ashen Then pictures of today you'll see again When the stairway to your door is dusty And the staccato footsteps can't be heard When the telephone dies of loneliness That is when love will seem absurd Oh, please change your mind My time is yours I will run with the wine If you so wish When breakfast in the morning loses meaning And you take to staying in your bed till noon That's when evening will turn into nothing And your nights will never come too soon When myself I offer, you have forgotten As you turn down my life and my time When you're living on your own without purpose Then you'll realise you should have changed your mind Oh, please change your mind My time is yours I will run with the wine If you so wish Oh, please change your mind My time is yours I will run with the wine If you so wish I will run with the wine If you so wish

Opinion

The zoo is life All schools should be set Upon the highest hill In the widest zoo Where they could see all our lives In the their lives And all death would have sympathy And purpose

Bless The Executioner

Bless the executioner for he knows not what he does Take the hangman into yourself, he is afraid of blood Take the soldier to the sea, let him sleep upon the sand And give the axe-man sympathy for he hates his own hands Give the torturer a break, he is really very shy Frown not at the man behind the gun for he is afraid to die Bless the soldier and every man upon the battle field Each one would like to be home, each one knows he will be killed Though death is so unnecessary, tradition feels it must Condemn a man to die or elseways be turned into dust Officials feel that they are gods and must give all they can give But each one of us is God himself and has every right to live Always smile at the mask of hate for it covers a sad face Pacify the nervous, put them gently in their place Show children to the old man who speaks only of his war And then kiss Death upon the cheek, let it think for ever more

Black Fjord

The warriors are sailing away to Valhalla And I must also leave upon the rain The orchestra of broken hearts is silent in the dark The feelings in me are all close to pain I must return the magic ring of Eltera The Saxon warlord is opening his arms A witch of many shadows is praying for a storm Oh, but Odin predicts it will be calm The hero lord is also present at the black fjord He speaks in silence at the black fjord The boats are burning at the black fjord From a thousand years, I can see the coming light The fjords echo with the sounds of death The Nordic peoples have come so far to say goodbye But I’m afraid my farewell is without breath The hero lord is also present at the black fjord He speaks in silence at the black fjord The boats are burning at the black fjord And so in a boat of flames, I sail away to meet the gods And within me, my heart is but a stone The magic ring of Eltera is now safe again The Saxon dead are all going home The hero lord is also present at the black fjord The boats are burning at the black fjord He speaks in silence at the black fjord Let us see him speak to us inside a while The hero lord is also present at the black fjord Also present at the black fjord Thor and Valkyrie can now show the way The Saxon dead are all going home

The Feathered Tiger

Long time ago I had a dream all about a magic zoo And the animals that lived there were in love like me and you In the dream I wandered slowly in-between each magic cage And the animals looked happy as they played their silly games As the dream unwrapped around me, I could see their colours clear As the minutes split to seconds, I found you were standing near So we wandered through the happy of the little magic zoo And the animals were quiet as they stared at me and you As the sun rose we bought ice cream but we couldn't eat it all So we gave it to the animals to keep them very cool Their happy laughter filled our ears and it made us happy too The animals were beautiful in their yellows, reds and blues But in shadows of their victory, we did find a silent cage And the animal that lived there didn't seem to want to play We looked between the rusty bars through the darkness of the cage And suddenly we saw the sad as the feathered tiger lay We found a key, unlocked the bars of the feathered tiger's cell And with words of kindness begged him his story to us would tell But he was so very scared, he said we would laugh at him So we led him to the sunshine and played games but let him win We all played amongst the colours in the little magic zoo And soon he was much happier and we both loved him too But the evening drew in swiftly and the feathered tiger cried He was sad because we had to leave and the sun slipped from the sky But we told him to act bravely and to never feel unclean He was the only feathered tiger that we both had ever seen We told him, “Only be yourself, you don’t really want to change To be yourself is beautiful, to be someone else is strange” The feathered tiger disappeared and so did my magic zoo And as I opened up my eyes, there was nothing else but you

I'll kiss you once

I'll kiss you once, I'll kiss you twice Won't you say it's very nice I'll kiss you three, I'll kiss you four Won't you let me through your door I'll kiss you five, I'll kiss you six by seven we can be in heaven I'll kiss you eight, I'll kiss you nine by ten we'll start all over again

Music

Electric Electric Electric midnight mist is dancing through the trees As the organ grinder's ghost is feeling lonely The rock ’n’ roll crusade is coming to an end And the words that I once sung say they don't know me Oh, roll me anything The pirates of our meres are smuggling the notes To the major minor mermaids of the sea Looks up and listens to the concert of the waves As the tunes of yesterday all try to throw me But to me, they're nothing And life goes on Another pauper to the king And the musical army Is always conquering everything In forests of today, the mist has now gone And the organ grinder's ghost is changing key The rock and roll crusade have crucified the past Leaving only shadows of electricity You and me, everything And life goes on Another pauper to the king And the musical army Is always conquering everything And life goes on (X 22) And life goes on (X 8)
