Maybe this seems like a stupid idea, but I thought it'd be funny to see screen shots of what different games look like when you've completed them. If you just don't want to know, before you've completed them yourself, then hit the BACK button of your browser. If you've finished a game that is not on this page, attach a screen shot of the mission complete screen to an e-mail, and I'll publish it in this page. Please, if you send BMPs or some other weird format, compress the images (with zip, gzip, lha, arj, whatever you want) before you send it to me.

I included this screen shot just to have something on this page. Everybody knows that Commando is the easiest game to complete in the history of video games. Anyway, if you haven't finished Commando yourself, this is what it looks like: our hero enters the enemy headquarters and probably shoots everyone he finds there. It probably doesn't matter very much to him, as you have to kill hundreds of enemy soldiers to complete this game.

Finally someone sent me a screen shot of a finished game! Midnight Resistance (a game that I've never played myself, but if someone actually plays it until he finishes it, it must be good!) was completed by Dohi. This ending looks a bit nicer than that of Commando, quite idyllic. I suppose it's because there are no more people to kill... Visit Dohi's homepage. He has a very long list of C-64 games, if you're into trading. Do as Dohi did, send me screen shots of finished games!

As no one else seems to want to send me any screen shots, I thought I had to finish another extremely easy game, and take a screen shot. So what you see above is the end screen of Defender of the Crown, after my army, consisting of 115 soldiers, 29 knights and 4 catapults, has defeated the enemy. Nice game, if you still haven't finished it (but who hasn't?), then do it now!

Much to my surprise, another good samarithan has decided to aid me in my quest for end-screens for C-64 games. This time it's our new friend Smoed, who managed to finish Outrun with 0 seconds left. And in the picture we can clearly see him, after finishing the race, standing there, looking cool, with his girlfriend, or grandmother, or whatever. Smoed actually sent me two screen shots, but I decided to only publish one of them, so as not to upset the three games above (wouldn't want them to believe that I prefer Outrun).

It seems the mission wasn't really impossible after all, as someone actually finished it and sent me these two nice screen shots. It was Dohi (the guy who finished Midnight Resistance) who sent me the screen shots, that he had gotten from Rio Baan (CD-64). If you want to have some tips on finishing the game, have a look at Rio's CD-64 home page (see links page). I've never been close to completing this game, and now I definitely don't have the time to even try. It's a great game though, so if you haven't tried it, you should download it at once!
This end picture was sent to me by TGF, who says the game Agent U.S.A. is one of the best ones ever made. I've never played the game myself, but I had to try it, as I received the game itself along with the picture, and it seems to be one of those puzzle solving ones. It has to be a great game, as our friend TGF actually played through it all, and he also implicitly claimed that he'd completed the game several times before. The screen shot itself is quite minimalistic, no fancy graphics and stuff, but then again, who needs stuff like that? Keep sending me those end screens, folks!
This end screen was given to me by Terminator. I always used to think that this game was impossible, but it seems it wasn't. I haven't played it much, because I've never been very patient, and this one just was too hard for me. If you think the screen shot looks a bit weird, that's because it's a JPEG, and that format is quite ill suited for this kind of picture, as it's not using a lossless compression algorithm. My advice to those of you who want to make nice-looking screen shots is to use a format like PNG.
Terminator has more stuff on his home page.
This one was sent to me by Troy Coziahr. Haven't played the game itself, but since it has 100 levels, it must have taken some time to complete.
Don't forget to check out Troy's C-64 home page.
Wizball is definitely one of the best games ever. Unfortunately the end screen doesn't look very interesting. This one was sent to me by Marticus.
Check out his Wizball home page.
