At the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi 2001

My mother invited my brother Justin and myself to a really cool weekend at the Ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi in the north of Sweden as a late Christmas present. To get there we had to travel overnight for 15 hours from Stockholm to Kiruna and then take a 15 min taxi ride to the hotel.

The hotel was great and I thoroughly recommend going there as it was a unique experience. But one night is probably enough. More information on the hotel can be found here. It was interesting to sleep on real raindeer skins in arctic sleeping bags. The only part of my body which became very cold was my face, I think we all had red noses the next day.
