Syndicate Wars review

The plot

This time you can play as either the Syndicate or the Zealots. The Syndicate has developed a chip that controls the human brain and makes the civilians happy and obidient. But there is one group that has broken loose from the control of the chip, the Zealot. A group of fanatics that strive to overthrow the Syndicate and gain control over the world.

My opinion

After the succes with the first game I really had my hopes high on this one. I am sad to say that it let me down. It is a great game but it doesn't have that syndicate-feel that made the first one an all-time classic. The missions are harder which is both good and bad. It is a bit frustrating when you succed with a mission only to find yourself beamed directly to a new one without beeing able to save. One misstake and you are toast and have to play the damn mission all over again. One thing that is great though is the explosions when a car or a building explodes it turns to little pieces in a nice big cloud of fire and smoke. Overall a good game which could have been better.
I give it 4- skulls of 5 possible.

Boner.
